Indore: MP's DNB Hub
Bombay Hospital Indore (20 seats, rank 3,100) and Choithram Hospital (15 seats, rank 2,580) are the top DNB centres. Indore's private hospital ecosystem provides strong clinical training. DNB seats are all-India open — no MP domicile needed.
Section 6

Fee & Stipend

Standardized fee and stipend across MP government colleges.

Government Fee
Rs 1,01,500/year standardized across all major GMCs (Gandhi, MGM, GR, NSC Bose, Bundelkhand, Datia, Ratlam, Shivpuri). Bhopal Memorial is slightly higher at Rs 1.27L.
Government Stipend
Rs 75,444/month uniform across all government PG seats. Net monthly earning after fee deduction: ~Rs 67K. Adequate for MP's lower cost of living compared to metros.
Section 7

Bond Structure

MP has a dual bond system — GMCs vs district hospitals.

Rs 10L
GMC Bond / 1 Year
Major government medical colleges (Gandhi, MGM, GR, NSC Bose, etc.) have a 1-year service bond at Rs 10L. Serve in underserved areas or pay the penalty. Among the more moderate bonds in India.
Rs 20L
District Hospital Bond / 3 Years
District hospital PG seats (Gwalior, Morena, Ratlam, Sehore, Shivpuri) have a 3-year service bond at Rs 20L. Much longer commitment — important to factor in before choosing a district hospital seat.
Dual Bond: GMC vs District
MP's bond system is unusual: major GMCs have Rs 10L/1yr while district hospitals have Rs 20L/3yr. This means a district hospital seat with a higher closing rank also carries a heavier bond. Consider this tradeoff carefully — 3 years of compulsory service is significant, especially for those planning super-speciality training.
Section 8

Security Deposits & Registration

Paid before counselling begins — prerequisite to participate. MP requires a security deposit before choice-filling, forfeited on resignation.

Payment UR SC/ST/OBC NRI Notes
Panjeeyan Raashi — Govt seats only ₹25,000 ₹12,500 If choice-filling only govt college seats.
Panjeeyan Raashi — Govt + Private seats ₹2,00,000 ₹2,00,000 ₹10,00,000 Adjusted against first-year tuition at joining. Forfeited if allotted and don't join.

This is ONE payment (not two separate charges) — the tier depends on which seats you want to fill choices for. Fully refundable if not allotted. Adjusted against first-year tuition if you join. Forfeited if allotted and don't join OR if you abandon after joining. Key Insights

Strong Government Network
With 30 government institutes, MP has one of the largest state PG networks. Even newer GMCs (Datia, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Khandwa) now offer PG seats. Pre-clinical seats at these newer colleges go to ranks 50,000+.
Para-clinical Strength
MP's top specialities by seat count are Microbiology (14), SPM (13), Physiology (13), Pathology (13). If you're targeting para-clinical PG, MP offers more options than most states.
Affordable Training
Rs 1.01L fee + Rs 75K stipend in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur where cost of living is moderate. Net financial position is positive for PG trainees — rare outside government seats.
Non-Domicile via AIQ
Non-domicile candidates can only access MP through AIQ (15% of govt seats) or DNB. State quota (85%) is domicile-only. AIQ seats at Gandhi/MGM/GR close at 765-1,850 — competitive but accessible.
