There are two kinds of families on results day. The ones who scramble — discovering counselling systems, deposits, and deadlines for the first time. And the ones who already know their colleges, their order, their timeline. Formity is how you become the second kind.
Colleges
's preference order
Your order here becomes your counselling strategy.
Your preference order starts with your first save.
In MCC counselling, if allotted your #1 choice, you cannot later switch to #2 — even after visiting the campus. The order you build here becomes your strategy. Start by exploring colleges at your score.

Why notes matter
"Every family has constraints they don't say out loud — budget limits, location fears, bond concerns, a relative's opinion. Writing them down is how you move from feeling to deciding. Formity reads your notes and adjusts what it shows you."

Risk
What your choices reveal
Computed from your 0 saved colleges, and 2025 data.
Risk is computed from your choices.
Save 2 or more colleges, and Formity computes: how many routes you're covering, how many deposits you're exposed to, whether your preference order has blind spots. The families who felt calm on results day were the ones who saw their risk before it was real.

Asked by a family
Should we register for both MCC and state counselling?
At most ranks, yes. MCC gives you deemed + AIQ options. State counselling gives you private + state govt. Missing either system means fewer colleges. The deposits across both systems are the cost of having all your options open.

Asked by a family at similar rank
If allotted a deemed college in Round 1, should we join or wait for Round 2?
Depends on what you're waiting for. Round 2 shifts closing ranks by 5–8K. If your R1 allotment is your target, joining protects your seat. If you're hoping for something better, Round 2 might open it — but you forfeit your ₹2L deposit. The ones who stayed kept their deposit. The ones who moved — some got better, some got worse.

Asked by a family about bonds
Are service bonds a real concern?
Service bonds require rural service after MBBS — typically 1 year. Most bonded students complete it. Those who don't pay the penalty (₹5L–₹25L). The bond activates at graduation, not admission. Families who chose bonded colleges for fees and training considered it an acceptable trade-off.
