All-India · one MCC choice list

Before you lock it. Round 1 is free exit — not joining costs nothing. From Round 2, not joining an allotted seat forfeits your security deposit. To aim higher: join your Round-1 seat and give upgradation willingness — you keep it while you try to move up. Choices reset each round.

Your state · a separate choice list, filed with the state

Heads up. State counselling runs separately, with its own deposit and bond. Its registration often closes before MCC Round 2 — register for both early so you don’t lose a path.
